Wow! this has me reconsidering the idea of a DJ41 that I have tried on and previously thought wore largish. That Rhodium dial/smooth bezel/Jubilee combo is fantastic!

MotoGP Legend Kevin Schwantz clowning around with current World Champion Marc Marquez. Appears to be a 116500 on leather strap with endlinks. I have known Kevin for years and he has always had Rolex including a 116520 for winning the Daytona 200. Last two times I've seen him he was wearing an Explorer. I'll ask the story on this one next time I see him.

I was thinking poor lighting and reflection but I think you may be right. Back in the late 80’s when he was just starting to race GP, his father had a yellow gold 16520 on leather strap I admired.

That's very cool. I'm a huge Schwantz fan. He's still pretty damn fast to this day! I think he tested one of the Suzuki motogp bikes around cota a few years ago. I'll also be glad when Marc is back out there dicing it up with the new crop of talent in the premier class. It's been exciting without him but he will bring even more...

This year's championship has been the best in years with all the different winners! I hope you have been able to attend one or more of the GP's at COTA, it's such a great venue.
PS: if you'd like to meet Kevin there's a great opportunity each year on MotoGP weekend in Austin. He always hosts his charity event, the Schwantz Soiree, somewhere open to the public for a donation. Last year it was at Austin Speedshop where his Championship RGV500 was on display with some other cool bikes and rat rods. He works the crowd pretty good and is always very gracious.
