The guy whose watch weighs more than his car

I owned a mk 1 Elise, mk 2 S (yota powered) and Mk 1 Exige also back in the days BC (before children).

I have a place in my heart for the Elise.

Great car. My first AMG... previous leased 2011 E350, 2014 C300, 2017 GLC300... this is the best by far. Great power (385 hp bi-turbo V6), great handling, nice low stance and wide rear tires. Excellent interior. Super comfortable. Plenty of room. Great looks. Great all around package. Might be a keeper.

For a moment back then this confused me, but the car can be financed six different ways to sunday. Only recently have people started to finance watches (which seems insane imho)

love this

and no, no balance for me either. beater Prius, beater Lexus, '88 1ton GMC Sierra for projects, and GMC Acadia for family trips.
I can't see owning a nice car financially speaking. takes too much of a hit for my budget.
make up for it with a little real estate though.
and who knows, if and when money is no longer an issue, I will buy a nice expensive car (many on my list)

A little real estate, not bad. Wouldn’t mind picking up a 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera!

Nah, I drive LS Lexus sedans that keep me quiet and comfy battling big city potholes and traffic and wacko drivers. My hot rod days are over.

All of my LSs are black on black, though, and my Submariner is black on silver.
