When do you synchronize your watch and by what means?
I have been obsessed with time and time pieces since childhood. I sync my watch with WWV or an atomic G-Shock whenever it gets to +10 seconds, sometimes sooner. Is that abnormal for WIS types? Just curious as to what you guys and gals do when the time is not "exact" on your watch.

I set it again. But being honest, these are so accurate that it takes a while for it to get out of sync. I’m less worried about it than when I started.

I use time.gov and sync every couple of days whenever I have a chance. If i havent worn a watch for a while and it is stopped, I will open up that site, sync and wear. On my less accurate pieces I wait for about 8-10 seconds off and sync.

The up to +25 seconds is acceptable to me as I’ll never be late. When any watch is slow, I have to sync it and will set it 15 seconds fast. I use Emerald Sequoia to synchronize with.

time.gov
I check it once a week and adjust whichever piece I'm wearing from there. The worst I've been off is about 1 minute with my MM300. |

Synchronize to time.is once every 10-14 days or so; isn’t really a big issue for me.

I just look on my iPhone for the time and where the seconds hand is.
Wind my watch so its running and with the hacking seconds I move the time on the watch to the anticipated minute while the seconds hand is at 12. Once the seconds hand on the iphone lines up with my watch I click the crown in and ta-dah, watch is ready to go. If the watch and time becomes off over the course of wearing it, I might make an adjustment in a couple weeks. |

I use time.gov when I set mine. I usually set the time and leave it until I rotate. If I have to reset a date at the end of the month and plan to keep what I’m wearing in rotation a few more days, I’ll synch it then otherwise I don’t re-synch.

I use Watchville (the bleeps make it so easy) whenever I rotate, which is usually after a number of days so the watch has stopped.

If one of my watches needs to be set, I use my phone. If it's running, I don't adjust the time; never really need to.

When I put it on in the morning (if it wasn't running anymore) using my phone.
When I've been wearing it, I don't usually check to see how accurate it is or anything like that, unless I kind of have an excess of time on my hands (pun not intended). If I do have excess time on my hands, I'll sometimes check and synchronize. I enjoy setting the time and date on my watches |

When I rotate but only if the watch coming in has stopped. Sometimes I'll wear on and off without stopping for a couple of months and never need to adjust. It's close enough. When I set its set to the second.

I look at my phone and set it the minute, don't really care about the seconds anymore. I used to set them to time.gov but honestly I have more important things to worry about!

If I grab one out of my watch box to rotate I'll set it from the one I took off. Sometimes I'll check accuracy from my phone time app or from my atomic clock in my office at work. I'm not quite so anal anymore for being right on the second. My phone app below...

I set mine in the morning before I put it on - if I’m wearing one that’s not running - and set it using the clock next to the bed. Close enough.
Any that Are in the current rotation - I’ll wear and reset the same way - when / if they’re stopped - using the same clock. Good enough for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I use a digital atomic clock in my kitchen to set the time to the second when I wind up and get ready to wear, after that I don't really monitor it

Yes, the Apple Watch. Used to use time.is to calibrate my Rolex or Omega - but the Apple Watch is good enough accuracy for walking around. Do that maybe every couple of weeks or as I take one off the winder. If it’s more than a couple of minutes off I’ll take a minute to set the Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
