Skin oil and day to day dirt and grime all contribute to watch smudges. Thats what the inside of your t-shirt is designed for!

A quick wipe of the tee shirt is all that’s required

As the above two members have mentioned just a quick wipe with the T-shirt on the Rolex and you are good to go.
I have an issue wiping the PO crystal because I get paranoid that I’ll scratch the AR coating. No such worries with the rollie though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We could clone you with that DNA on the watch. Wash it. smh.

As everyone said above, give it a wipe. And, for goodness sake, please continue to not use that watch in the water!

Well, your first mistake is wearing it. The key to keeping a Rolex looking nice is to never wear it, never touch it, and keep it in a hermetically sealed, temperature and moisture regulated vacuum.
In all seriousness, I can't say I've really noticed smudges my Sub or GMT bezels, but as others have said, a quick wipe over with a cloth is all it needs. |

It could very well be dried water spots after hand washing. I notice that on my GMT M2 sometimes after I wash my hands. I just wipe my bezel with my sleeve (I really should get a polishing cloth)

This stuff kills me sometimes. Buys a tool watch intended for diving and hard use then proceeds to be bothered by cleanable smudges on the bezel LOL

Leave it. Just like your iPhone and anything you touch frequently, there will be smudges.

Depending on the weather and my activities I see the same with my watches. I just go on with it.

The black is probably a bit more reflective and shows it more.
