70’s President?
Inherited this Prez from my father, he had mentioned it was from the 70’s. Will take to my watchmaker have it serviced and get more info about it. Cheers

nice bark finish on the bracelet. I saw this thread a wile back that had some interesting information you may find useful. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=703104 There are a bunch more threads do and Advanced search (instead of just the regular search) for keyword "bark" on the vintage forum. It's quite lovely.

Ooh, it looks like a bark 1807 with a Spanish day wheel! Quite rare and very exciting. Doorstop markers at 6 and 9 might suggest earlier than 1970.
Can you post some sharper photos? Close-ups of the dial and bracelet in good focus. You'll also need to remove the bracelet to find the serial number, which will be between the lugs at six o'clock. FGS, don't take it to Rolex for servicing - they're not very sympathetic when it comes to vintage value. And don't just take it to a bog-standard watchmaker, either. You need a proper Rolex vintage specialist. |

As others have said do not let Rolex service this watch. Plenty of good independents out there that will let you keep dial and hands etc.
You have a great watch and it will look incredible when serviced. |

Thanks guys. Yeah it’s def a 1807 as it beats slower than the usual 28,800 VBH. First thing I noticed. I have a trusted watchmaker here in the city (NYC) that serviced my DateJust (1976) 16013 and did an excellent job. No way I was taking it to Rolex. I’ll take better pics when I get back to the city after my business trip.
