Your opinions please on this Omega Seamaster

Hi all: I am looking for your opinions on this Omega Seamaster. Yes I know its kinda rough but it does call to me. I am actually more concerned with its value rather then its authenticity. So what do you think? Thanx...

Nice looking piece. Obviously needs a new crystal. What does this mean? " I am actually more concerned with its value rather then its authenticity".

Looks OK to me & genuine enough. Could do with a little TLC. As it is, value is what someone will give for it. Possibly £130 and more than double that if cleaned up properly.

Personally I think $200 is a fair estimate. I would not pay that for it simply because to me it's not a particularly desireable model style wise. But that's what makes the world turn round we all like something different.

That sounds like a fair price. To get the crystal number you need to open up the back and get the case number.

I've received the watch. Here is my message to the seller:

"Hi there: I have received the watch. Basically I am kinda happy but I am also very, very disappointed. You rated the watch as good/verygood which is a stretch...I would rate this watch more in the fair range. My reasoning is as follows: First the crystal..Im ok with the damage...I'm not ok with the fact that the crystal is not orginal nor is it an OEM replacement crystal. The crystal does not even fit the watch face. I expect that the crystal was damaged forcing it into place. The date function works..the day of the week function does not. There is significant damage to the bracelet which was hidden by the clasp. As the caseback was loose, I removed it to examine the movement..the movement is a 1022 NOT a 1020 as you indicated. I also believe that the caseback may not be original to the watch as I suspect it comes from a Omega Geneve as its marked with both 198.0064 and 166.0225. Your thoughts?"

...geeeezzzzzz...

The seller voluntarily gave a $50 refund, which seems to have settled the issue. Why raise it to a Paypal dispute?

I mis-read it as the seller was giving a $50 dollar refund for the watch when the OP paid $235. Never mind then.
