UPS Lost my incoming Skydweller

My long waited black dial skydweller was shipped out last Thursday with overnight delivery to be delivered the next day at 10am. It's been a week now and they cannot find the package. A lost package investigation has been open since Saturday.

Has anyone had something similar to this happen to them?

UPS should be able to quickly track your precious package... have you heard any updates?

Moral of these stories, stay away from shippers with name starting with U. :)

Damn, after reading two lost/stolen stories back to back I’m afraid to have my watch shipped.

Last month UPS shipped me a package that has no watch, just a box of the watch. The package was ripped open and the whole thing was re-tape. I had to file a report with them and the seller. I dont know how they worked it out between the seller and ups but per ups customer service, ups is responsible since the incident occured during shipping. After a week, the seller shipped me replacement. I guess UPS had to reimburse the seller.

Last Saturday the FedEx lady scanned and handed me the wrong box, I only caught it because the shape of what she handed me seemed wrong. There was a 126660 inside my box.

Hu? What's going on with "lost packages"? I'm so not getting my next watch shipped. With age I've come to appreciate peace of mind.

last time this happened to me - UPS delivered the package about a week later - the box had been very expertly opened. I did not notice it when I got delivery - I open the box - all the packaging was there - missing - a 5 oz. US Mint commemorative coin. I was made whole - but what a hassle.

when it shows - take pictures upon receipt.

Stop shipping watches to each other. Go F2F or fly to pick it up.

Sorry for your loss man. I have been a watch collector for over 20 years and never had this happen until this past week coming from a Rolex AD shipping USPS Express. Not a happy camper especially since I informed them Fedex with parcel post was my preferred shipping method. Best of luck to both of us!

Not me so far - but can you share one tidbit of info? Did the seller have it scanned at a UPS Store? Or did they use a Dropbox?

I presume it was scanned or they wouldn’t try to trace it.

The watch left NJ for CA and the last physical scan of the package itself was in Louisville Kentucky a UPS hub. It shows the container arrived in CA but no physical scan of the package in CA. Waiting to hear back from the investigation.......

The watch was insured by the shipper for the wholesale cost. It just sucks because it’s a skydweller!

USPS lost a package of mine last year. It was never recovered. Luckily it was not a Rolex...I don’t trust the USPS at all. FedEx overnight is the only option for me.

Only quoting your post to help the readers here - always advised everyone who uses USPS for a Rolex - go with Registered Mail fully insured.

I absolutely agree. Anything above 10k, I'm flying to pick it up. Southwest is too inexpensive to deal with the risk. I hope the package is found!
