Still cant get the saddle position figured out.

If you cant get the position right within a couple ofrides, it is not the right saddle for you. The road bike position is much different than what casual riders are used to and requires a saddle that supports your bones, not your soft tissue like most consumer saddles.

Try and find a Specialized store and check out their Body Geometry saddles. They have so many options with shape, arc and width that they can fit nearly everyone. When you get the right one, it disappears under your butt. Bad ones are called ass hatchets for a reason.😂

@Dan Pierce - contrats on Haleakela! We did that years ago. Where else on earth can you ride from 0' to 10,000'?

Picked up a new f/s bike this year as my son has commandeered my old f/s bike. Pic taken in Fruita, CO this week. Sunset was magical that night.

I'm a total road bike newbie but not completely unfamiliar with race saddles, I have them on my mountain bikes .I'm not sure if they're ergonomically the same though. I guess I keep trying to get my body to fit like it does on my mountain bike and then it gets awkward when I get riding faster. The saddle itself seems comfy enough but my body likes to scoot forward when I ride so I have to reposition myself. I feel like it's more user error than a saddle problem. I feel like I'm not getting all the power out of my legs in the position I'm in. To be honest I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to setting up a road bike.

I was pretty excited to average over 20 for one loop this morning. I need to do a 22 mile loop with the paved trail and the road next time to see what an hour ride feels like. That seems to be my typical mtb ride time. After a 55 mile gravel ride on my 26er last week, I decided it was time to get something a little more efficient if I really wanted to enjoy a century ride within the next month.

I loaned my friend my bike tools and he left town. I have a fitting stem that I feel like could come in real handy right now. I almost feel like the stem is too long, but mentally I feel like I should be able to compensate for that by moving the saddle forward or back. I would like to take it into the shop but everyone is back logged with labor and by the time anyone could help me, a few hours with my tools, trial and error and I should be able to figure it out myself(pretty sure my Fizik Arione and one of my Syncros saddles are for road bikes) I have a pretty nice collection of parts, between my spare saddles and stems, I've got to have something that works. I was really excited for this saddle though, will be disappointed if the carbon Selle SLR is a pain in my ass was a huge selling point to me when I bought the bike

If you were able to average over 20MPH without any electric assistance that is quite respectable for anyone. KUDO"S to you and ride on.....!

Now that he’s on big wheels, he can keep up on the group rides….

Shimano makes a version of the 105 hydro/ mech lever that’s designed for small hands. ST-R7025. I’ve got 12 sets or so. If you want a pair (assuming he’s not already on them), I’ll trade you for whatever is on his bike currently (looks like 105). All of our bikes came with them, but got swapped out to D/A.

He actually has Ultegra Di2 levers and derailleurs from his old bike that we're going to switch over to this bike. When we built his first 20" road bike, his hands were too small to throw the shifter, so we had to go with Di2. I would still be willing to trade though, as I was intending on getting rid of the entire 105 group anyway. His first (road) bike...

Agreed. Bianchi should not even offer a bike in any other color

I did want an all Celeste one but they only had the Matt Black / Matt Celeste Combination in my size. Am glad I got it now as it is really growing on me.

Well spotted! As much Italian Parts as possible, It’s even got Deda Superzero Bars and Stem and a Selle Italia Novus Superflow Saddle which Ferrari helped design. Peddles are Shimano though as I find they’re the best ones for me and the wheels are hand built H Plus Son Archetype Rims on Campagnolo Record 32H hubs.

I’ve been using Campagnolo for about 35 years now. This bike should have come with 11 Speed Centaur but I have a Dolan Titanium Tourer that had Chorus 12 Speed on it where I decided to take the Chorus off of that and get them to build up the Bianchi with it. I will get the Centaur put on to the Dolan over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys - I’m off for a Father’Day spin on it now wiith a nice little Cafe stop. Have a good one fellow Fathers!

That’s a very interesting coincidence. As much as I love Campy, I’ve never favored their pedals. I’ve always preferred Look.

My apologies for the poor picture. This was at the end of a 750 miles/1200 km brevet that I finished in about 3.6 days. Circa 2013. I was cooked.

I did another event in CO the year before. From Louisville CO to halfway across Kansas…and back. Now I’m happy with club rides….50 miles or less. No more 200 - 250 miles days.

Picked this up today! It’s a 2018 Slayer 90 C with heavily upgraded components. The seller went a bit crazy with Reserve wheels, Chris King hubs, XX1 Eagle derailler, Code RSC brakes, carbon seat, new chain etc then had an injury that stopped him riding. It sat in his basement for 3 years it looks like it’s off the showroom floor! I paid less than half of what he has into it, can’t wait to get it in some dirt

I see you're in Canada, with a Canadian bike.....Are you familiar with the BC BikeRace, Andreas Hessler, or Wade Simmons?
