Public Service Announcement - Ceramic Floors
After reading far too many posts over the years about people damaging their watches on ceramic floors, I swore it would never happen to me. First of all we have no ceramic floors in our home. Secondly, I always try to be aware of my surroundings (within reason) when putting on or taking off my watch.
But a couple days ago I went to an AD to pick up a new rubber strap for my Breitling Superocean 42. SA pulls out the strap and I excitedly whip my watch off my wrist. Sweaty hands it goes flying down to……. ceramic floor. Ugh. Hard hit. Visibly looks fine. But now it running 25 seconds a day slow. Previously was about +6 for the past year. Lesson learned. |

Arghhh, sorry this happened. I could see by the title what it was, but opened it to read it.
I also won't let a friend try on my watch unless we are sitting down and I instruct how to pass it, what to/not to hold it over... Things happen unintentionally. Well, I guess damage is preferable to loss. Hope it works out well for you |

Oh man that sucks. Maybe you can send it in under warranty. I love the Superocean 42. Such a great watch. Anyway these things do happen even under the most careful conditions.
