My DJ 16030 I have had for 26 years - found this forum and now

14060 sub for 6 months
5513 sub for 3 months
1680 sub for 3 days

now I have run out of money.....

I blame Larry and Mike for all their great posts and photos on those references!

I have worn my 5513 since August 1967. It has been my constant companion for a 21 year Navy career, and another 20 plus years. I do love my Rolex.

Unfortunately, I only decided to start buying Rolexes about 2 years ago. Since then, I have added 5, modified one, and am now on the hunt for 2 more!!!

New to me Sub - almost two months...
1960 gold Oyster - a few years, but I never wear it. A friend of my Dad's gave it to him...and he gave it to me.

TT DJ Thunderbird - since '02
TT Sub - since '04 (gave to my dad)
GMT Pepsi - since '07
Sub LV - 4 weeks
GMT IIc - on the come (may throw outstanding balance on the cc just to get it quicker)

First Rolex was a SS Sub Date purchased pre-loved in '94 - traded it for the Pepsi (regrettable mistake!)

Bought mine in 1973, but usually wear my father's 1947 TOG that he got in the late 50's. Gave my rootbeer GMT to my oldest son.

I got my Yachtmaster in 2001.

My husband got his Sub last year, from his father; his father obtained the Sub in 1998, and it sat, unworn, in a safe for 10 years. The watch was a 10-year old BNIB watch, with tags and all, when my husband received it.

My mother in law has worn her gold DJ almost daily since the early 1980s (possibly 1982?). Seeing her wear that watch playing tennis, going to the beach, etc. showed me how durable a Rolex was. Up until then I thought a Rolex was just a fancy status symbol watch.

I have a Model 6542, sn397640. Not sure when I bought it new, probably around 1960. It is a GMT Master without the protective ramps on each side of the stem, and a bakelight bezel--BobMoe--(COILAM@aol.com)
