New Car

2020 Honda Accord Sport 2.0L Turbo DHOC VTEC 10AT (Paddles) Black interior and exterior

HP: 252 @ 6500 rpm

Torque: 273 lb-ft @ 1500 - 4000 rpm

I just heard that Honda is dropping all MTs next year, so I dropped by the dealership and asked if they could get me a Sport with an MT. They did a search and could find nothing, as Honda has already quit making the 2020 models.

I was bummed, but continued discussions because I felt it was time to get a new car and since MTs were out of the question, I settled on the model above.

While I still prefer three pedal and four doors, I'm at an age that I could get tired of all that shifting in a few years.

Yeah, I know it's a grocery-getter, but I'm a real Honda fan and the engine is quite punchy and very smooth and the car has a lot of creature comforts.

If I can master the paddles, it might add to the fun factor. We'll see.

It's sad cars are ditching the MT. That's why I don't drive Audis anymore. Bought my first Mazda in 2018, a MT Miata. Fun car. Congrats on the Honda. Hopefully you can get used to the paddles.

Brilliant car, love it. I am 63 and bought my first automatic last year, what took me so long? I couldn't/wouldnt ever go back to a gear stick.

Really sharp car.

There is an identical one up the street from where I live. Not joking, somebody jacked the rims on it about a month or so ago. Those rims look awesome, apparently they are popular with thieves? Regardless, congrats!

Beautiful car Grady!
My buddy has a 2018 Accord, V6 2 door with the MT. That car is lightning fast!
Honda makes great engines, whether for cars, boats, mowers....

Great ride, Grady.. I am a Honda guy myself. You will notice the wider wheel base and curves handling very tight. Love the color too.

Congrats

Congrats, it's such a nice car. You'll love the automatic gearbox. And yes, the paddles are both fun and easy to learn. They also come in handy on roads with lots of turns and twists. Great choice, enjoy!

I pulled up next to one of these yesterday, never really noticed them before. I was really impressed, I actually called my cousin who had an old Accord just to tell him what a great job Honda did with this model.

Good looking ride. Should be fun, congrats!

Awesome! I have a 2015 Accord and it has been the most reliable car I’ve ever had. Fun to drive too.

Have you considered a Tesla?

Very nice! I owned a 1998 Accord and a 2008 Accord. Both flirted with 200K miles, but after ten years each, I was ready for something new. I liked the 98 better, smaller and sportier. I think that the newer ones reverted to a little smaller and sportier.

Enjoy yours. Someone said having an Accord is a luxury car because it’s a luxury to not have to pay for expensive repairs. You can have a ten year inexpensive run like me with a little luck.

Incredible!!!

10 years at 200k plus miles ....... you really got your monies worth on both!!!

I'm already teaching my kids to not do what I did where I was flipping a new car every other year for about a decade?!?! Yeah I'm banging my head at the though of the $$$ throw out the window!!!

Congratulations Grady, I’ve always loved Honda.

I had an odyssey mini van for my work vehicle in the early 2000’s. I put 500,000 km on that vehicle and literally just changed the oil, and did brakes periodically.

Let’s see some interior shot please ...
