Big congrats Grady.
I’m also a huge Honda fan as my last four cars have been Accord Coupes. Like the MT, Honda stopped making Coupes a few years ago.
I drove a manual for many years but became tired of it due to all of the stop and go traffic where I live.

Congrats Grady. It's a lovely car. I'm considering picking one up myself.
I'm happy to see you stuck with an Accord.
An Accord is 10 years hassle free driving, easily, if that's what your after (apart from the oil, breaks and other consumables, for want of a better term). They generally don't skip a beat. Cars don't come more reliable. The new one drives very well too. I think it feels much more planted and sure footed than previous models.

This has certainly been true of the last three Accords I've owned.

I never considered a Tesla because EVs are not for me at this time and this Accord was pricier than I prefer to spend on a car, but I'm not getting any younger, so I splurged.

My wife and I both drove MT's for years, and the reality of the market moved us to AT's only recently. MT's just won't be around for much longer in mainstream cars and SUV's, so had to "shift" with the times.

We like accords.

My daughter has a 2009 EXL with nav and my son has a 2010 EXL V6 coupe.

That V6 coupe is a blast. I am not a fan of the steering feel but it is still a lot of car for the money.

Congrats, that one should last a long time. I’m still addicted to manuals as long as I can get them. Picked up an end of year 2019 Golf R with manual last November. It was the dealer’s last R, the salesman told me no one wanted it, red and manual. That was exactly what I wanted!

Wow! I never expected so many responses and so many positives to boot.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

I'm warming up to the 10AT much more.

I know it goes against conventional wisdom, but I still consider manuals to be easier to operate.

I just heard that Honda is dropping all MTs next year, so I dropped by the dealership and asked if they could get me a Sport with an MT. They did a search and could find nothing, as Honda has already quit making the 2020 models.

I was bummed, but continued discussions because I felt it was time to get a new car and since MTs were out of the question, I settled on the model above.

While I still prefer three pedal and four doors, I'm at an age that I could get tired of all that shifting in a few years.

Yeah, I know it's a grocery-getter, but I'm a real Honda fan and the engine is quite punchy and very smooth and the car has a lot of creature comforts.

If I can master the paddles, it might add to the fun factor. We'll see.
Solid choice GP.

Love Hondas! Would have gotten the new FK8 (type R) but could never convince the wife it’s a “family car”

Congrats Grady

Is that your unit flag on the front license plate?

My Audi lease is up next June. Tempted to return to the Honda Accord fold. Ten years of low maintenance is appealing.

Happy driving!

Good looking ride there, Grady!!

BTW, paddle shifters sure are fun in the hills of Kentucky.
