Horrible tragedy.
I spent a lot of time in Beirut in the 2000s and was my favorite place to visit in the region. Despite obstacles for awhile it was lifting itself up, energized and revitalized, becoming what they say it once was. Many good times. Then, it seems like there's always something that comes along to knock it back. Very sad to see. |

My wording was quite poor. The 'it' was the ammonium nitrate, not the ship itself.
