Trying to make some decisions

I am selling my Rolex 14060 Sub to acquire a Planet Ocean 2500 in orange. With the cash left over, which model should I go for: 2254.5 or the classic Bond in blue wave? I had the 2264.5 and sold it to acquire my Sub. I would have kept it if it was the auto model. I have always loved the blue but never been crazy about the font of the numbers on the bezel. That said, I like both watches but think that the bezel rings are pretty useless without some sort of a coin edge. I am going back to an all Omega watch collection and would appreciate any input you may have to offer. Thanks form looking.

I have the 2254.50 and love it. I do admire the blue Bond though so no bad choice.

For me, the most important difference between the two are the hands. Sword or skeleton. I think the sword are much easier to see so that would be my choice.

2254.50 is absolutely on the top of my list!

I'm leaving towards the 2254 but there is something about that blue too... tough choice.

Have you considered the speedy pro?

Unless it was the limited edition white dial version, I don't care for that model as much. I am a diver so the Seamaster line is up my ally. Not that it is remotely close, but the first watch I purchased, in college, was a Seiko quartz chrono that was modeled after the speedy-pro. Same hands and dial configuration. I still wear it. Of course that was a long time before I became a WIS. I didn't even know Omega as a brand then...

The white dial is amazing. Never see that for sale out there.

I suggested the speedy pro because it can be had for a reasonable sum and is an awesome watch. But alas not a friend of water. In fact I had moisture under the Chrystal on mine recently requiring a service. And I'm not a diver. Unless you count doing the dishes.

My vote is for the 2254.50

By today's standards of using our watches, the dishes could count...
