Ball games you just don't get

Here in England we have cricket, played by men who stop half way through to have afternoon tea.

In the States you have base ball, which is your version of our cricket and from what i've seen just as boring.

Football (soccer for the Americans) is the big one in the UK and Europe, and i'm a big fan too.

American football (like uk Rugby but without the pads lol) is a good game I can watch it,and get the attraction.

Basket ball universally a good sport allthough more popular in the States that here.

Golf wtf far too many wannabee's for me.

Fishing totally get that, relaxing etc etc

please feel free to add your ten penneth

Australian rules football. From what I can figure out the only rule is you can't kick an opponent in the head when he's down.

I don't understand baseball, basketball, football (both American and not), cricket, or lacrosse.

Baseball - BORING. I went to one game in San Diego and left in the 3rd inning.
Basketball - I hear it's better in person than on TV, but tickets are too expensive for someone who doesn't know if he likes it.
Football - What the heck takes 45 minutes to play 2 minutes? And the other... 0 - 0, enough said.
Cricket - Well, it's mildly entertaining to watch people play it in the park in Vancouver.
Lacrosse - GOALIE SO BIG, net so SMALL. Somehow there are so many goals. If the big fat guy would just STAND STILL there would be no scoring.
Golf - Only like it if it's mini.

Hockey is where it's at.

Rugby = cool

Physical game, plowing into each other and wrestling the opponent down, then stand up and let him step over the ball for his teammate to take and repeat?
Looks like fun but why can't you take the ball away once he's down?
I don't know the rules so I guess I don't get it.

I understand most sports... However, Tennis scoring is a mystery to me. Cricket looks kinda cool, but it seems to drag on, literally for days....

I wouldn't have my sanity for long if they were my only team.

I've been on the Bruins bandwagon for a long time.

It is o.k. It is in my blood to dislike the Gaterds. But I admit that Tebone is a stand up guy. He is a class act and an incredible role model.

My second home town won the NLL title this year! Again!

Never went to a single game of theirs, though

I've never understood netball. That is unless the object of the game is for all the girls to rush after the ball in a huddle shreiking and waving their hands in the air
