Unpopular 116710LN in the UK?
Why do you think the black GMT is relatively unpopular in the UK? Any thoughts on it?

If its unpopular why is there none to be found in AD's? I don't believe its unpopular, just not as popular as the black/blue ones.

IDK about the UK and I wouldn't say it's UNpopular in the US but it is a SLEEPER. All of the focus is on the BLNR and BLRO

I don't think it's unpopular at all. I've had it three times myself. Sure it gets a little boring but I am sure its a great seller for Rolex and still difficult if not impossible to find in any AD window right now.

Generally ALL steel professional range are waiting list now. But in the grey market, there isnt really a premium for the black GMT whereas everything else has so that's why I deemed it to be unpopular relative to the others. I may be wrong of course.

Definitely not unpopular, one of my favourites.
I haven't seen one in any AD window for at least 12/18 months |

Unpopular 116710LN in the UK?
Well the watch is not unpopular but it’s not as hot as the other two. Few of the reasons might be that it has had a really long run so it’s not the latest and the greatest. It looks more plain over the two colored bezels of the BLNR and BLRO. The all black bezel GMTs also loose some of their luster because they appear similar to the all black classic subs with busier bezel and larger numbers etc.
I do not share any of these sentiments and I believe it’s an extremely nice version of a GMT Master II, very classy and to me the green lettering and GMT hand makes it special. ( that’s something else that I heard people not liking. I love that detail ). I think it will soon be missed when it’s gone. |

I'm probably bias as I have the 116710LN, It doesn't portend to be a Superhero or a fizzy drink. It sits on my wrist as discrete as a Rolex can be , it also tells the time exceptionally well. I love mine.

It was the first ceramic bezel in SS, so it had the hype a long time ago. Still popular, but less talked about. |

It isn't but certainly colour has been very attractive to the masses and the all black watches have fallen behind, but they are still in high demand and a very rare sight in ADs.

It’s not unpopular and is the most versatile GMT out there IMO.
I own a number of the 5 digits in coke, Pepsi and LN. My ceramic LN is my day to day tool watch. The LN 5 digit I have was also a favourite because one tires of coloured bezels quicker than you may think. Sometimes it’s nice just to tone it down and wear an all black bezel. The LN is a future proof classic. |

Based on forum activity it does seem to be overshadowed by the others. Great watch though...really like the subtle green gmt hand as well

LN is a great watch. A much better companion that BLNR, if I may.

Placed an order for one today. Is there a short waitlist in the UK? I have a small relationship with my US AD (2 buys in two years from him, another 6-7 from trusted sellers here...) and was told “likely over a year”

I think Rolex should come out with GMT Master II Coke with brushed SubC bracelet with Glidelock (or GLlite with five 2mm adjustments). Would blow away all the other GMTs combined.
I think PCLs killed the black GMT Master II when it came out. People love brushed Oyster bracelets, thus the popularity of the submariner and all five digit GMT models. |

I really like (what I call) the standard GMTII ... except those polished centre links, and have toyed with the idea of buying one with the intension of having the centre links brushed .... the hassle at service time putting me off of the idea.
As for unpopular, they sit quietly at around £2k over MSRP online, so still fetching a premium in reality, not the average £4k that the BLNR demands, but a premium none the less.

It’s only “unpopular” relative to the Sub date in the UK, whereas the BLNR has the benefit if the massive hype and the BLRO is the latest and greatest. IMO it’s the best of the ceramic GMT Masters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks guys, it just seems that it doesn’t get the same amount of air time which creates a misconception.
