Jumbo

Anyone know if steel Jumbo's are still coming in to boutiques?

Or are they done delivering for the year and waiting on the new reference in 2022?

All we know is that production will continue until early 2022 when the 15202ST will cease production in anticipation of some kind of replacement to be announced next year.

My allocation came through a couple weeks ago so I’d assume they’re still delivering for the time being.

I should have had some in July ... my AD warned me, 1 week ago, that due to the Covid and the preparation of the replacement for the 15202, he had received less this year and that I wouldn't have it. It was a sad day.
Only hope, I am in a good position to have news. But will I like it ???

Oh man!11 congrats. Can you share if your boutique knew of the allocation or was it a surprise to you and the boutique. Either way, it is a reason for celebration.

To be honest the whole process is a mystery to me. I got the impression it had just been approved by HQ so we found out around the same time. It felt like a very different process from their normal allocations... maybe because of the discontinuation?

Definitely cause for celebration, but it'll be several months before it's on my wrist. We're doing something special with it that'll take some time

Interestingly, even the 15202st had a major price increase. So I guess they will still be delivery these watches

Someone on another forum picked up one from the U.K. AP House a week or two back so they must still be coming.

Who really cares?

If you're offered a new Jumbo at list price you grab it with both hands yes?

I agree. They are still giving you 60k of free money even if you pay 30k. People need to stop being so greedy.

I mean, it's only "free money" if you're an idiot and stupidly flip it for an instant profit thereby (hopefully) ruining your relationship with your Boutique to free them up for true collectors like you and me and others here.

So, I don't really look at it as "free money" even though that's the mindset everyone else has, including the boutiques (so they have to be extra careful).

I hate it. I really do.

Don't worry. 12 months from now the price won't be any different. If anything it might be higher and then you can sell it, and nothing happens to your relationship.

Fair enough, but that's not my point.

I don't want to sell it. I buy to wear the heck out of them.

Actually I heard recently that some customer has been black listed from selling watch that they bought 2 years ago...
Not sure if it’s true but it’s worth sharing.

Absolutely! It seems like there's no way to get one unless you have a great relationship/history with your AD or a Boutique so, if you get offered one, you deserve it. It's a reward, free money.
And if you don't want it you can flip it to someone who does and donate the profit to your favorite charity thereby making the world a better place and who can argue with that?
