Rolex repairs and services
Hi everyone,
My Oyster Perpetual was last serviced in 2012. A year later it stopped working and I was advised that a part needed to be repaired/ replaced and this was not covered by the Service. It stopped again in 2014 and again I was advised that a part needed replaced. my Service Center was actually rather embarrassed by this and covered some of the cost attributed by Rolex. I was assured that my watch was now totally fine and would not break again. So (you know what I am going to write!) it has now stopped AGAIN. I have been advised that the rotary (i think that is what they said) has broken and a full service is required (plus possible additional parts) I have already spent over 1500 euros getting this watch serviced and repaired in the past 5 years! My question is: is this normal service from Rolex? I have no 'come back' to them as I am obviously no expert, but I did not expect to be spending so much money maintaining what is supposed to be the elite of watches. Am I being unreasonable to think so? |

I would send to a private watch maker on this forum. Sounds like whoever got it fixed was clueless

Where did you get it serviced before? Gassan or Schaap & Citroen?
