I have seen the demo piece for customers to try on. My wife loves the green very much. We have indicated our interest and were told to wait for it because there are other VIP who also expressed their interest.

I was looking at the Patek site (which is great, btw) and these are pretty close in size to the 5167a, so I like them but don't know if I could wear them.

If the wife had one, I could see wearing it around the house. I like that white one so much. But don't dig the diamonds. Maybe I want it because I couldn't get a white 5711

I also wonder about Patek's quality off Quartz. Does anyone know if it rivals Grand Seiko? Worse?
Looking at the site, the hand movement looks sloppy.

It is a steel Patek sport model for only $20k with diamonds but a quartz movement. Lots of plusses (and minuses).

At 39mm it will be popular with both men and women. It will still be unobtanium just like every other Patek sport model and will come out of the chute at $40k in the secondary market.

I saw a 5267 white listed for 65k. I reckon the green will be more.

Out of control. At that price you might as well get a 5167 or 5164 and still have money to spare.

Well that's the market. On another note, I saw the new green 5968G listed for 290k from a NY dealer.

I have also indicated my interest in 5267 however there's no choice of colours from my SA. I am no way a VIP so I guess the 1st batches will go towards the VIP then filter down to the regular clientele. I am looking at a 1 yr horizon at the minimum...

I love how nowadays the market doesn't actually exist. It's basically a few greys who got pieces from flippers just making up prices. Then other greys pile onto that. Then more pile onto that.

And eventually everyone's talking about how "the market for this piece is at $65k."

When in reality maybe one piece moved at that price, or maybe even zero pieces, but everyone's throwing up listings on Chrono24.

There is at least 1 demand, and another from a member above. My wife is not in this for investment and all she wants is that green 5267. She only wants to wear that watch (not for flexing cos she has no IG). Secondary market doesn't exist if there is no buyer.

I do hope the market crash so that I can buy the 5990/1R, 5231J and the rest of those popular models without waiting.

Oh, certainly, there's definitely more than 1 in demand. I'm with you, your wife, and the OP above.

You know what I mean. The market & grey market is absurd and irrational right now.

I'm with you.

Also, the 5231J. Incredible. Have one on order, but it's likely going to be 2022 before it shows up.

Managed to pick one up from my local AD last week. It’s now sized and strapped to my wife’s wrist. I can’t comment on grey prices but for MSRP it’s a great watch and she absolutely loves it

Thank you. Although I own a PP I’m more a Rolex addict but have ventured into the PP forum also. Curious as to how many people have received this watch already. It was very unexpected and I was amazed how quickly after launch we were offered it.

I really liked seeing these in person but the quartz movement meant had to pass on it.

The 5268 is exactly the same but it has an automatic movement.

I picked up a black one today for my wife. I honestly didn't even know it got updated. The AD was very nice and offered it to me as she saw I came in with my wife.
