Did you get a chance to compare platinum vs RG for the Havana? I'm not sure which metal looks better with that dial |

Who knows - they told me that 2020 production was less than half their normal level. Perhaps they were basing it off of that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, the CS is now their entry level piece since the CB is no longer obtainable. (We're not taking the Elegante into consideration since it's a quartz movement).
And the price point being much lower than the AL, it is more affordable to most, therefore there is more demand for it, so a longer wait. |

The RG is warmer and a little dressier and complements the dial perfectly, which is why I prefer it. But a lot of people prefer the contrast you get between the Pt and the brown, and the more casual look may be more versatile. A good source for pictures of Journe pieces is WatchProSite.com. They have a Journe sub forum. |

OP, the Elegante and the CS are so vastly different that getting one will not scratch the itch for the other, or vice versa. If the Elegante is the watch that you truly want, then you should wait for it or get it through other means. Buying a CS likely won't help you get an Elegante from the AD in the future either, because both have long wait lists.

I’d go for it - personally love the contrast of the Havana dial with Platinum. I’d wait some time to bring the Elegante up - Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Buy the CS Havana and wear it home. If you don’t like it I’ll happily take it off your hands. No lie.

I’d approach the topic after the CS purchase - perhaps give it a few weeks to express interest. Just my two cents due to the rarity of the piece. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you want elegante wait for it and pass on the CS , always get what you want although the CS is an amazing watch but its a totally different watch. if the AD is welling to offer you an CS I am sure you can add you to the waitlist for the Elegante just follow your heart.

I got mine as a first watch and waited for one year for it , its all depend how you truly show your interest to the AD and that you are not a flipper. if you end up buying the CS and sell it down the road you may hurt your relation with the AD... of course nothing is granted at may be different from one AD to another

Pretty sure that *today* you won't be able to get an Elegante without a very, very long wait.
It's the "other" entry-level Journe like the CB that has gotten absurdly hyped on the secondary market, and like the CB, it has a miles long wait list at boutiques. (Though not as bad as the CB.) |

Now that people can't get the CB and Elegante, they are gravitating towards the CS. It is now the least expensive Journe which is still obtainable. Less than 2 years ago you could walk into a boutique and they had every version of the CS available. A year ago, you could get one within a year. Now it's 2 or more years for one. Do you see a trend here? Do you even know if the one you have been offered is still available? Unless they are holding it for you, I am surprised someone hasn't jumped on it yet. |

If it was me, I'd do it. Classic Journe feel. More so than an Elegante, to be honest. And then see how the winds blow in the next few years. The other hype investment, crypto, is tanking right now. Hype investments don't always stay in bubble territory. |

No denying the trend is in my favor. I guess I just need to push through and pull the trigger. John Mayer said it's gotta hurt right? |

Yes I got it from Bandiera, to be honest with you I only wanted the elegante from FP journe collection. for me personally I like it the most even before the hype , it’s cool looking , light , unique movement concept and can change the look with different straps.
Don’t get me wrong The classic collections from Fp jounre is great but not my cup of tea it’s too formal for my taste. At that price I would prefer to get a rolex Daytona or something. About your question for resale value , I was offer the CS White platinum for lower than retail price recently and declined it’s hard to resell the gray market not sure about the Havana some people like the brown and some not. |
