Understand these carry a significant secondary market premium as being “untouched”.

Forgive my ignorance, but wouldn’t leaving the watch in such state be sub-optimal for the movement? In other words, not dissimilar to a safe queen in a drawer for several years, wouldn’t oils dry up, etc.?

I do not believe modern oils dry up or clump. They should last between services whether used frequently or not
