Do you have a 15510ST or another royal in blue? How do you like this green compared to the striking blue?

Abridged version of the story is - I had been unsuccessfully trying to start my relationship at 3 other boutiques.. ended up purchasing a pre-owned 15400 black dial, which ended up leading to me making a connection that later led to this 26240 via AP directly (last year). That started the relationship, and I’ve been able to add its big brother, the 26420ce, to my collection this year!

Thanks for sharing your story! Congratulations. Is the 26240CE hard to get an allocation of?

What is the weight of the 26240CE compared to the 26240ST?

I have a 15450 with a blue dial and a 15510 with a black dial. The blue dial is iconic and definitely striking, but the green is equally appealing albeit in different ways. Definitely very muted vs blue, but when the light hits it right, oh man it comes to life and looks unbelievable. I live in a sunny part of the world, so I get to enjoy the khaki “come to life” often, but in low light conditions, no way you can tell AP blue/green/black dials apart on the 26240

What is the weight of the 26240CE compared to the 26240ST?

The 26240ce (Royal Oak chrono in all black ceramic) is very difficult from my understanding - though we do have some members here with that piece (some have posted in this thread as well).

The piece I recently purchased is the 26420ce (Offshore in black ceramic with yellow gold accents). From my understanding, it’s more limited production than its ROO siblings so somewhat harder to get, but easier than a 26240ce.. others feel free to chime in and correct me!

Weight-wise it doesn’t feel like a big difference to the 26240st, ceramic is lighter but the yellow gold and larger size offset it somewhat so it feels roughly the same.

Thanks for sharing your 2 cents. Do you know if the green is significantly less available compared to the blue dial?

I was only given the specific number of dials produced for the 50th anniversary steel chrono, but yes, from least to most produced it was green-blue-silver-black in 2022. To give you an idea, the gap between green and blue was about 30 dials, then the production was significantly higher for the silver and black.

Thank you.

I do love it and it’s always getting lots of positive feedback from others when I wear it.

I’d only consider letting it go if I could get a Ceramic allocation but otherwise it’s firmly in my top 10 watches in my collection.

Do you have the number made of the black 50th chrono dial, as I have the black version?

The numbers that were given to me were the following, Green 212, Blue 246, Silver 280ish and Black slightly over 300. For 26240 in steel with the 50th rotor. Regardless of the color you own, you still have a very limited AP by any standards.
