Trusted vintage dealer still owes me a bracelet after over a year, what would you do?

Hi everyone, I'm having some trouble with a particular trusted vintage dealer and was hoping you guys could give me some advice.

Here's the background: I bought a watch complete with a 93250 bracelet from him in May 2012. The transaction went fairly smoothly except for one minor detail. I had requested that a permanent link be removed from the bracelet, but the bracelet I received had all the links there. After some quick and smooth communication, we agreed to ship the bracelet back so he can take out a link or send me a new one.

The bracelet was shipped back around the end of May. However, I had to leave the country for a month in June, so I made it VERY clear for him to not proceed with anything until I got back. Well, after I got back, I contacted him about shipping details, and to my surprise, he claimed to have already shipped out a bracelet and that I should have received one already. There was nothing in my mail, so after some further negotiation, he agreed to send me another one once he had more in stock.

For the next few months, I constantly pestered him about shipping out another one, but he would always come up with some reason such as "waiting for the next watch show to get some more." Around December or so, he stopped replying to my texts, and has not replied to any of my attempts to contact him since then.

While there have been a few scattered complaints, this particular dealer still seems to be in business and in good standing. What should I do?

Name the seller so he can be avoided. Hard to recover what you have lost already. It has been a year. If he had any intention of doing good it would not have taken this long. Whatever his issues were

I'd like to hear the seller's version of this one.

Remove a permanent link for me at your expense before you send me the watch because I'm too cheap to have it done myself? Hmmm......

Yep, a real shame. Even worse since I'm wearing a snowflake bought from him back when he still had a stellar reputation.

While a reference to a Ponzi Scheme is not quite accurate, it almost fits the bill..

If the seller agreed to do this as part of the deal I see nothing wrong, and seller should have done it.

I am curious to know the identity, since I seem to be the only one who doesn't know who it is. Isn't that the point of the section? So we know who to avoid and be cautious in our dealings.....

Ah yes SM. Three years ago when he had his "preferred status", i asked him for a SEALED coke 16710 bezel insert, of which he said he had. So when i got it, it was in a taped little bag but the outer hard plastic case it came with was opened! I was naive, new to trf, and the bezel was only $120 so i didnt bother to call him again. But the purchase was not as we both agreed to.
