Kinda..not really...but a pen topic

Hi folks. So I desperately need a new pad folio. Need something that looks professional, leather is preferred, fairly simple and will stand up to a rough life. I don't want anything that zips shut either. Which ones do you guys use?

Thanks as always!

What size pad? What other features should it include. Any general price range?

Legal sized pad. A pen slot is handy but not required, and a card slot or 2 would be nice. Simple clean basic. Let's keep it under $500 US. If they'll put my company logo on it all the better.

Smythson.com. Great craftsmanship, classy, not the run-of-the-mill Montblanc stuff. Will last forever.

I like the Col. Littlejohn 18L (legal) portfolio but then I love buffalo hide. Some folk don't.

I bought one of these for a friend and it is built like a tank. Has a 100 year warranty!

A bunch of that seems too flashy and more than I'm willing to spend on one at the moment. They look well made though and I need to keep that company hid from my wife as they offer there stuff in all her favorite bright colors.

Extremely well made products but alas they don't seen to offer one in black. After I buy my new black one I may very well buy one of theirs to replace the brown one I have now and don't like. Black must come first though as that one is SHOT.

So I decided on the Col. I wasn't sure which to get so my buddy talked me into the 2 tone one, he says it's more practical and will match black and brown that way. Lol. Like my watches, pens, and boomsticks are practical so why should this be?!. Anyway, I placed the order Monday afternoon and I got it today! I had them personalize it too. I'm not crazy about all the crap on the header of the pad but the paper seems to take ink nice from a variety of pens/inks. Having never ordered from them I wasn't sure what to really expect. I was pleasantly surprised. They came well packaged with a nice presentation. The quality seems to be great with nice attention to detail. They even sent me a moon pie, not that I can eat it but my buddy was happy to gobble it for me. I think that they and Courteney boot company will have my leather business moving forward.
Of course pictures or it didn't happen right!?!

Glad you like it. I've always been pleased with what I've bought although they always end up as gifts and so far I haven't gotten to keep one.

Thank you sir. I think it will go nicely. Once I get the pen the pad folio will have to remain lonely for a week or 2 longer as it will head to my jeweler for engraving.
