I’m so sorry to hear this Paul. It’s a brutal thing to deal with. My Father passed away last November from Alzheimer’s. Cherish the times you have together as best you can.

At 72, probably Alzheimer’s and there are treatment options available which can slow down the rate of decline. Diet rich in omega 3 fatty acids, classical music, sudoku or word puzzles and gentle stretching exercises like yoga and Tai Chi also has been shown to help. Caretakers burn out quick and have more issues than patients, so keep that in mind. Glad your sister is willing to help. My prayers and best wishes to your mom and your family. |

I’m sorry to hear this Paul. You are dealing with a lot. My dad has Parkinson’s so I can somewhat relate.
As Brett pointed out much earlier ... spend as much time as you can. Your patience will be tested. |

My father has dimentia, still early for him but it seems to be worsening rather quickly. It sucks. Hang in there.

We just got word last night that my demented MIL, has been tested positive for Covid. The facility she's in has been on lock down since March, my wife has seen her only three times since. No one is allowed in now, as the lock down is even more strict. I pray she recovers.....I just can't imagine being ill and forgetting minute by minute....Sad, doesn't come close.....
