"dark brown lace-up boots that are timeless in style and are durable"
Red Wing Iron Rangers, not in the stratosphere in terms of pricing when compared to some of the suggestions here, but solid, stylish, durable, and extremely comfortable once broken in. Wolverine 1000 milers are another boot in this class that seem to be extremely popular, but I've never owned a pair. |

Got a couple: Red Wing, iron rangers in the colour amber.
Crockett & Jones, Coniston, in dark brown Scotch country grain. Crockett & Jones, Molton, dark brown rough-out suede (007 boots from No Time to Die). Might end up with another pair of C&J (I also own the pembroke), and want the Edward Green Galway in rosewood and a bespoke EG Dover on my own last. C&J Molton paired with Momotaro Japanese denim. |

I have some AE Higgins Mill that are much safer on bad surfaces with a soft rubber compound Vibram sole. I am also trying some Thursday Legend Chelseas this week to see if their lug sole works well in winter.
