You're of course 100% correct Steve (and I'm not sure if you're referring to my post above yours, which I guess can be read that 1982 was the last time the Aussies played in the WC. Anyhow, that was not what I meant, because Australia didn't participate in the 82 Cup, no what I meant was that 1982 was in fact the last time New Zealand (a.k.a the All Whites) appeared in this super sport event. Just wanted to make that one clear... )

And even if I always cheer for the Italians when they play, I fully agree with you on the fact that it was a major referee mistake in that game back in 06. But then again, mistakes are done game after game, but of course it's hard when it's happening to the team one is supporting. Been there many many times, both when playing myself and watching others play.

Cheers,
Joe

I wonder if they will do the haka before their matches? Now that would be good, add a bit more excitement.

From what I understand, the All Whites have never done the Haka before a game, so we will probably not see it in the WC either.

But yeah, it's really really cool to see the All Black perform it before their games!

Cheers,
Joe

Evidently the world cup (solid 18K - they must have melted a few Rolex bracelets to make it) is enroute to it's new permanent home in Australia
We'll put it next to the Ashes.
