DD with bronze wave dial

ok so i have a "special" AD connection" that will sell me a 36mm Day-date for 21,980 (no tax) the current msrp is 29,800 that goes up tommorow by 8% I guess. He has to order it and is not charging me the 8% increase so effectively the discount is even more than 26%...which is great!
my question is what are the thoughts on the rose gold 118235 with that bronze wave dial and arabic numerals??? do you all like that style dial at all????
I saw it in person at the local AD and it was very nice IMO

Nice, but I feel you need to wear a lot of earth tones. Very nice otherwise.

I would not purchase so much just based on the discount rather if this is the watch you really want and will wear for the next several years... IMHO there is a buying frenzy just before a price increase.

LOVE the bronze wave dial, just prefer it on the DD II .

I have not seen the specific watch you are speaking of, but I have seen the rose gold. It's pretty, but just not for me.

Having said that, if you love it AND you have a AD that will special order it and NOT charge you the new price. I would definitely go for it!! That's AWESOME!!

I've been working all day trying to get a president watch from one particular AD, but this dealer wants their discount to be based off tomorrow's price. No way!! I will just get it later. I think I will have to let the insanity die down just a little bit first.

Good luck!

Dont buy for the sake of getting a quick fix or to save a few grand.

If you like the dial design, go for the DDII.

I'm not buying because of the price increases, of course i love the watch and have been hemming-hawing over my 1st all gold braclet watch. i was going to get a gmt 18kt but tried on thei DD in rose and it really was fantastic!
As i already own a datejust ss/wg, a gmt ss/18kt, a sub-C, a milgauss-gv, a datejust ss/18kt AND a ss daytona i felt the DD braclet would be a nice addition to the rolex line i have already! Plus 5 years ago when i turned 40 i said I would buy this watch but never got around to doing it.

the dial is a bit of a departure for me. I actually hated it when they came out and seen them in the pictures. but...... in person/flesh it was really stunning! I wanted to see what the other rolex WIS thought of it, not as a determining factor but just for fun.

It's a beauty. Nothing wrong with it in any way.
You'll be charmed by the stunning beauty in itself.
Hope to see some pics soon in your hand.

I like it. It wouldn't be my first choice, but I do like it, and if you love it too, and you can get a nice deal on it...what are you waiting for?

I'm not a huge fan of RG. I think it's rather trendy, and you have to have very light skin to pull it off. Otherwise it gets lost in the wrist.
