I can’t say any Swiss watch would make the top 10 of a “worth every penny” list - that’s because my opinion is they are grossly over-priced.

But they’d top the list of things that make you say “ooooh...”

Back on topic - my own idiosyncratic list...not in rank order after #1

helping Family
winning
brake pads
checkers
my dental hygienist
earned dividends
FaceTime - (lately, Zoom)
Krispy Kreme
insurance
sunrise

I suppose the items are choices influenced by individual tastes and preferences. You may prefer a different item in each category.

Still working on yours?

That fact kept a few things off my list too. Some brands may be “nicer” but dollar for dollar, they offer little value for me to buy twice.

having zero debt is better then having zero debt free. Fair list though.

Well said. Yeah too afraid to post his as I am sure we would find plenty of flaws in it vs our personal opinions Why do people have to be like this. It is a fun thread. Move along if you don't want to participate easy to skip the reply button.

Keep them coming guys (and gals). I have googled a lot of these and some look very cool and interesting. May have to try a few new items.

As some others have said, this is supposed to be a fun thread - something to distract us from everything that's going on.

There's no need to judge other's choices, everyone has different values on things. That's what makes this enjoyable to read!

Excellent thread. Here are the things that have given me the most value (defined by high enjoyment to cost ratio, not perceived status of item), just to clear up any confusion.

1. Parker Duofold fountain and rollerball pens.

2. Adjustable bed.

3. RM Williams comfort craftsman boots.

4. Benchmade

5. Apple Iphone

6. Custom Eriksen gravel bike.

7. Madshus cross country skis.

8. Audi Q5 TDI

9. Mountain bike

10. Any airplane ticket.

Haha...yes, he did a very good job! Given that in c1370, the building regulations weren't what they are nowadays. It has 'moved about' a bit over the years though!

We expect it'll be good for another five or six hundred summers....
