Say what you want about their coffee BRCC is Vet owned and IMO, as a veteran, supporting veteran owned businesses is always worth every penny. Since I’m not a coffee snob who can’t tell the difference between gas station coffee, Dunkin’ and whatever coffee it is the Uber wealthy drink to look down on BRCC my money goes to the veteran and as I said to me it’s worth every penny.

I had BRCC recently when visiting a friend’s house and it was good. I’m not a coffee connoisseur or anything, but it was good.

The founder is an interesting guy. Retired as a US Army Green Beret who spent a lot of time deployed in support of GWoT. I listened to the Joe Rogan podcast with him, which was great. Don’t agree with all of his conclusions about the war, but I can see where his perspective came from, being an SF guy.

I also like supporting veteran owned businesses, especially when it’s a guy who found his passion after his time in uniform is done and who gives back to support the veteran community the way BRCC does.

Well, I was the one who mentioned Tecovas... so here it goes.

Are Tecovas boots manufactured in a factory in Mexico by a third party company that makes similar boots for others? Yes. Do they use top quality leather? No, not the best but decent. Are they run of the mill with little variance? Yes, I can see where people could say that their boots can be a little “plain Jane” and simplistic. Can they compete with a Lucchese? No, I wouldn’t put them in the same category.

But you know what? They don’t cost nearly as much as the average pair of Lucchese boots. If you’re looking for a pair of western boots, Tecovas gives you great value for your money. I’ve had a pair for over a year, and they’re as comfortable as a pair of slippers (very important to me as I have feet problems due to an injury), they’ve held up very well after a good amount of use, and I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I also like their unassuming style. It’s a classic looking boot without all of the flashy colors on the leather uppers.

Their customer service is great as well, which counts for a lot in my book.

All the best.

Mouseman furniture! Haven’t thought about that in a while. We had his furniture at school back in the 70s and 80s. Beautifully made, and thankfully appreciated by the kids. We loved finding the mice!

Aww mouseman furniture looks adorable!

Some things money can't buy, but for the buyable things...

1. Hamsters. Such low maintenance pets for the amount of joy they bring.
2. Dogs. Whoever said money can't buy love never bought a dog.
3. Apple products (iPhone, Macbook Pro, etc), makes life easier.
4. 1000-thread count sheets. Damn I can't go back to the 700 stuff.
5. Books, all the books. Except for the shitty ones.
6. Fiber-optic internet.
7. Anything that makes my husband smile. Love that guy.
8. Piano and piano lessons. Hated it at the time, a joy to play now, my parents were right about this one.
9. Wacom drawing tablets.
10. A maid that can cook.

Estwing hammer. Get yourself a nice 12 ounce straight claw hammer with the leather-wrapped grip. Perfect for around the house or even loosening up soil in the garden. In 40 years you'll have an heirloom your kids will be fighting over. E12S, or E12C for curved claw. $35

Quality clothing as well. The feel alone is worth the cost, not to mention lasting longer, washing up better and so on
Vitamix I remember when my wife wanted one and I was like what are you kidding a $500 blender??? That was many years ago. Thing has made thousands of good smoothies, sauces, salsas and whatever you want to throw in there
Good cigars-too many quality cigars to list but you know who they are
Good coffee, same as above hard to list them all. But generally prefer single origin fresh roasted
Need a great coffee system for great coffee. Technivorm for drip and a super auto for espresso. Sorry to the purists I went to ease of use a few years ago.
Rolex obviously
Adidas Ultra Boosts
Club Car golf carts
Tommy John underwear
Kane 11 socks
Quality eye wear. Important to protect your eyes.
Tonal gym. We absolutely love the Tonal system. Totally worth the expense.
Sonos audio, simple, easy to use and solid performance
Are Tommy John undies worth the $30/pair price? I heard they were over rated and didn't last.
I have worn Hanes boxers 100% cotton for years. They last several years and hundreds of washes. Just wanted to pick your brain.

IMO they are. I have tried a few different types, prefer the second skin trunks. I have had no issues with longevity, they wash up great. I get emails with sales from time to time so usually buy then. The fly is different, they are super soft and the main thing they do not ride up the leg. Just fit and work good for me.

The title of the thread is ‘worth the money’. A g-shock is a great tool for the price. Expensive =\ quality and arguably a lot of Rolex is indeed overpriced.

However, I say that as a firm believer as the Sub is the best diver ever hah

Blue zones? Not sure what you mean, but pretty sure that there’s a Starbucks on just about every street corner in the US

Totally agree on the attorneys and other professional help. The more I learn and am exposed to in business the more I realize how critical they are.
