Got a dream job as an ER NP.
Got furloughed when the rona hit and ERs went empty.
Got a great urgent care NP gig.
Got the rona in July, bout died.
Got promoted to clinical manager over 4 clinics.

2 months off work, and still doing well financially. Learned to go with the flow this year. My ears and shoulders have never been so far apart, despite all the stresses 2020 gave.

I can't call it a good year, as friends, colleagues, and family have passed away. But I can call it a year of personal growth.

Wishing your wife well in her procedure. Keep on top of the cancer to stay alive!!!

For me really nothing crazy happened during 2020. Some things of note which weren't so crazy were the addition of an RV, continual working for all in the household, giving up going to the gym, for massages, to restaurants, to entertainment venues or to most places where fun can be had. We did take the RV to the Cape for a week long vacation this summer which included out first ever visits of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Also of note was stopping swimming as an exercise and beginning running. Also I've broken out my old unused Total Gym and have added some features to it so I can do hope strength training. So all in all it's been a pretty normal year other than the changes of venue for exercise and the lack of external stimulus!!! One additional thing worth mentioning was reinitiating the Weight Watchers push and losing nearly 50 pounds.

The price of Tesla and Bitcoin are probably the craziest things by far. ( excluding Covid of course )

So if that doesn't say hold on to your hats we're in for a wild ride in 2021

As a United Methodist pastor, I couldn't visit my flock, had to cease in-person worship and curtail many forms of ministry...........I hope this will end soon.

Wife finally convinced me we needed a pool...

...and the project skyrocketed from there to a full-on tropical luxury outdoor living space...

...with custom-designed Lynx pro kitchen...

...with custom lighting for that industrial...

...which was to be done by now yet is about two months from completion...

...maybe three...

...i hope.

And then comes new landscaping (to go with the new luxurious back yard living space)...

...and outdoor lighting to showcase the landscaping...

..........and............

2020 can really go into the dark corners of of the black hole it came from and disappear forever.
So sorry to hear but glad that you have recovered from Endocarditis and colon cancer treatment! Wishing you a great 2021 and beyond!

Work slowed down drastically in the summer but is slowly improving in the clinic. Family and I managed to stay COVID free despite treating patients. Exercise routine is gone and need to get back. First dose of vaccine taken and hoping things start returning to normal.

Crazy things that happened.

We bought some acreage that we hope to start building on later this year.

I got a wild hair and sold all my watches except my Tudor Heritage Ranger. I purchased a DSSD as the cornerstone of my rebuild.

A crazy good thing that happened was my 7 y/o Daughter finished her 2+ year chemo treatments for leukemia. She rang the bell on 11/24. We hope and pray that it never comes back.

I hesitate to post this because so many have had a rough year. 2020 was my best year ever!
  • Got married ...!
  • Divested from a troubled company for a massive profit
  • After 10 years, launched my private equity firm and raised all the capital
  • Repurcahsed most of my old watch collection (I had sold to fund projects)
  • Was offered and bought a Panda Daytona!!!
  • Learned how to play Cello, been dreaming about this since I was a kid
  • Finished building my dream man cave with wine cellar
  • Headed to CA for a few years to work and enjoy some wine

2020 was great. Banking on 2021 to be even greater!

Thanks for the well wishes. RVIng is the best. I know lots of folks got into the hobby this year and hopefully they will stay. We are taking a break from it as we moved across the country so we are doing weekend trips still in the Jeep. RV will be back next year.
