I've caught the bug recently and it has hit hard.

Have always had an affinity for Jordans but never actually owned a pair, even as a high school basketball player...I ended up buying 3 in a week. Favoring collaborations, colorways and styles that I actually like (you'll never see me buy a Jordan IX) vs. buying strictly for "investment" purposes.

I'm excited to see where the road takes me and curious to see if anyone else here is into the game!

Wow!! That's the level I need to be on.

I wasn't kidding when I said I just got into this, so didn't know about the A Ma Maniere's and Lost and Found's during their initial release in November - I'll tell you though, those are two favorites that I just might pay above retail for. GASP!!

Get the A Ma Maniere’s now! It’s everyone’s sneaker of the year and the prices are just gonna go up. Plus, you can’t beat a quilted insole! Lost and founds are the classic Chicago colorway and the story behind the release is cool. I would pay resell for both, but that’s just me

AMM 4 are so nice. Managed to get a pair and love them, for me this is one of the best AJ4s ever made, on par with the off white 4s.

Very cool guys

I’m firmly stuck in vintage and heritage style clothing. I guess I see it as a bit more age appropriate for me and it just suits my vibe.

I can see why these have their appeal tho. Maybe we need a shoe/clothing/fashion sub forum

That's what I love about you, Brian - you can always see things from other people's perspective!

Very nice! I don't have any 1's but I'm hoping the rumors of a restock on the Lost and Found's are true. I think I'll wait until the turn of the year and if nothing happens with it, then I'll probably just pay market rate. Funny how differently I think about MSRP here vs. watches, where I'll NEVER pay above MSRP. It's the scale of things, of course.

Very nice. I have some friends that are in the sneaker game and it is fun to follow their acquisitions and hear the stories behind the shoes. It reminds me somewhat of watches for collectors.

This must be what it feels like to be a guy with a Timex when his buddy shows him the four Subs, two Daytonas and a Day-Date he has in his collection.

I've had friends collecting sneakers for over 20 years and I never really got the allure; thought it was a waste of money (how many pairs of shoes can you really wear?! Says the guy with 10 watches)...all of a sudden, BANG.

They truly are becoming like watches with the resale values of some of these things.

This black taxis are sitting around retail still and I’m thinking of scooping them. I heard the materials are pretty quality. Thoughts?

Well worth it, in my opinion. Excellent material quality and the colorway is relatively unique. It looks great online but even better in person; a shoe that you can actually wear.

Only size left is 9 (which happens to be my size). I'd get them at retail...worst they can do is maintain MSRP upon sell out.

I am a semi-sneaker head, not crazy but borderline. Most challenging part is I never know when to wear or to keep mint.

I also scored the DJ K and picked up the Jordan 11s a few weeks ago during the shock drop.

Is it just me or has it become a little easier to score shoes on the Sneakers App? Seems like there is an effort going on, maybe better flagging of bots? No idea but I am happy!

4’s are my favorite silhouette, and those are my favorite virgil’s too. Man so clean, but can get myself to pay that 3k resell price

yikes are they 3k in your size? i got them for 900 and sold them for around 1200, blessed with having small feet lol. i also think they're the best off white collab

C'mon Brian. You're never too old to wear sneakers. Our former governor wears them and he's like 75 years young.

I just don’t see these things as investments - they’re shoes, for the most part all the same except for minor materials tweaks or color way changes. I admit these small changes make a huge difference to the aesthetics of the shoe, which is why I buy some over MSRP. But for resale, even if you hit it big with a given pair we’re talking maybe a couple hundred bucks at most, unless it’s a Travis or Off-White collab. Usually not worth the effort and stress IMO, but that’s just me. Either way, like watches, I believe that if you “Got’em”, wear’em!

Love the off white 4s. The unfinished edges of these are repeated on the AMM 4. That, plus the quilting, and the “matured” colorway of sail and violet ore make the AMM 4 the best AJ4 since the off whites IMO.
