Yet another "This one or that one?" thread.

Good day, all! I'll (try to) be brief.

I'm selling my 753 and looking at a 610 or 425. I love the size of the 753, most notably it's thickness (or lack thereof), but the placement/spacing of the text/logo on the dial is driving me nuts. I like the "PAN/RAD" placed at the top of the 610 and don't mind the "8 Days" at all (I actually think it looks meaningful), however I don't know if the watch is thicker due to the different caseback; I can't find *exact* figures for each. The 425 looks like it could be a beast, particularly in the thickness area (16mm!); but just as I thought I would never in a million years be able to comfortably wear a Panerai (in general) I was shocked at how well the wire-lugged Radiomir wears - it really is a bit of a joy! I suppose I'm slightly hopeful that the 425 could also be. I love the font, love the utter simplicity of the dial, LOVE the movement and narrow case back surround...it's just so damn cool all the way around (IMO).

Anyhow, what say you re: the above? And if you made it this far, thanks for reading.

Very, very different watches.

The 610 will look and wear much closer to what you have. The 425 will be bigger and thicker and be aesthetically different.

Depends on what you want. Sounds like you want the 425. :-)

Or, how about a 232?

In general, any pam with display back will be slightly thicker than the one with solid back

Have you tried both watches? I ask this because few years ago I was dead set on 346 until the dealer took out a 339 he just got, they fit differently and I just realized that 47mm pams do fit nicely on my 6.5-6.75 inch wrist

Re: 425 and 232

Ha! Yes, I really do like the 425. It has a lot of character for being so incredibly minimal. And as far as the 232 goes, I do find it rather perfect, but it's simply outside the budget I've set for myself...maybe that needs to change (it won't). Lastly, I suppose if the 610 is very close (~1mm), then I may end up with that; the 753 sits so wonderfully as is. (The strap would have to be immediately swapped out, though.)

Thanks for the replies, gents.

And no, I haven't been able to try on anything yet. I hope to do so next week - I suppose I just wanted to get an idea from anyone who has owned/worn them. Thanks again.

And actually now that I look closer at the 232, I prefer the fatter font of the 425 (and any of those variants).

Well, crud, the 372 (albeit a Luminor) sure looks good. From folks who have worn those cases, what are your thoughts. Can my ~7" wrist deal with all that steel?

7 inch wrist should be able to fit a 47mm luminor 1950 case,I believe a member named Waikeekee has 7 inch wrist and he has 232,422 and probably 673

47mm on my 6.75ish wrist

232 is nice and thin. It wears smaller than the 425

As I continue to break all the iterations down, I now see that the 232 is a 210 with a larger case, solid case back and both PAM/RAD at the top...oh, and those awesome gold hands. I know that all the variants drive some folks mad, but I actually think it's all very...well...fun. And let me just add, as an aside, that I would bet 99% of the flak the brand gets is from folks who've never tried one on, let alone held one.

I’ve owned many rads.

210 - I put good hands on it too
190
643
232

Without a doubt you don’t get the perfect dimensions and look of the 232 until you see it in person. The brown dial is perfect. Not to much but there. The case and proportions a perfect as well. Just my 2 cents
