Stones of steel!

Holly and I were on the way to the Mall to do some shopping when we stopped to watch these guys, 20 degrees out, probably at least 15 stories up. Kudos to the pilot as well as the lineman.

There are some videos of repairmen climbing up giant radio towers to do repairs. The videos alone make me want to puke.

I’d pay real money to do that one time. What a rush that would be.

So, would the proper tool for that pilot be a GMT or a Milgauss?

Down here they do HT line inspection by chopper with a FLIR camera, but I hear they're gradually moving to flying the camera drones now.

Those guys definitely earn their pay. Imagine sitting under the wind blast of those blades in the middle of winter on top of power lines. No thanks.

I'm thinking one of the more dangerous work activities I have ever heard of.

It reminded me of this famous photo.

that is such an iconic photo. Maybe not for the right reasons though, as i am thrilled with the evolution of workplace safety standards. Not perfect, but much better than they use to be. Not a single visible safety line on those guys.

You'd have to be two stops short of Upton Park to do a job like that!
