Glidelock scratches?

Hey guys, first post here, just got myself a brand new SD4K and am very much enjoying it. But im just wondering whether its normal for the side of this end link to get scratched by the clasp whenever i adjust the glidlock? I know its fairly normal for links that are covered by the clasp to get scratched on the side (in fact already got some despite owning the watch for a day or so), but just not sure whether its normal for the glidelock end link to do so (seems a bit of a design flaw if taking it out to adjust cause scratches) Thanks everyone!

Some light scuffing, but no deeper scratches on the sides of the links on my SubC.
Maybe slight differences in tolerances?

Rolex should have used the Glidelock on the DSSD throughout their dive watch line.
That GL is much better than on the Sub and other SD models.

My Sub has the same slight wear on my link within the glidelock, but no one will ever see it right?

Almost impossible to avoid as it’s metal on metal. Mine is a bit cloudy but not scratched deeply. Doesn’t matter either way as it’s a wear area.

It’s metal to metal contact in an area that’s designed to have metal to metal contact, and is completely hidden when the adjustment process has been completed.

Can you even see the scratches when you’re not using an electron microscope to view the hidden link?

Leaving that plastic on the side of the clasp will become unsightly quickly.

As far as metal-to-metal wear marks, these are hardly "design flaws", every machine on the planet will develop wear marks where contact is made.

Thanks everyone for their response. I think i can relax now that u guys reassured me that its normal. Sorry for the macro photo though haha, i had to crop it in order to fit the size for the upload restriction. But in real life i can see it with my naked eyes so it annoys me a little since its my first expensive-ish watch, maybe not as bad as the shot seems but the bigger scratch there i am able to feel with my fingernails. And as for chewed up when being sized at the AD, im not sure about the scratches but the screws are definitely a bit damaged. Was a bit upset by it but i guess life goes on and i aint gonna let it affec my enjoyment of this watch right? ��

Blows my mind a AD would do that to a new watch, that's why I always size myself.
