This is my Christmas gift to myself and I'm as happy as a pig in the sunshine.

We moved into our first house back in November and have settled in nicely just in time for the holidays. Lot's of expenses with the move so no presents for my wife and I this year, just for the kids. All in all, I couldn't ask for more for myself and my family (well, maybe a gilt 1600 )

Just lit the first fire in the fireplace and I'm enjoying some egg nog, happy holidays everyone!

Ben

I really cherish these holidays with my dad who is struggling with his health.

I'm not sure how much longer he'll be with us. He's always been there for me, he's my guiding light and a man I admire in so many ways.

I guess my hope is that he's with us for more Christmas's to come.

Well I was hoping Santa would grant me one small wish & pop one of these under our tree. As I've been really good this year. Honest

But somehow I doubt that this wish will be granted.

I love the holidays, time off work, and family time.

I hate the shopping and spending money on stuff part.

Soak it all in Brian, one day it will be surreal that he is gone. Do as much as you can with him, if you have a moment you could stay at home and chill or go see him, make the effort and go see him, because when he is gone, you will have all the time in the world to stay at home, have a great special holiday this year, take as many videos of him speaking, the voice is what we miss the most. Good luck friend.

Thank you my friend.

Funny you should mention voice. My dad sang in a gospel quartet for over 50 years, tenor lead. When I was a little boy I grew up listening to them practise in our living room every Tuesday night on the farm. My mom would bake a pie and my brother and I would fall asleep to the sound of music and the smell of moms baking.

Our family still sings every time we get together.

Thank you for the reminder Nick. I hope you and your family, particularly your son, have a great Christmas and celebrate the memories of your dad. Life is indeed short.

Santa's helper here, Santa has stated that there are no SS Rolex watches to be found anywhere this year. But, your at the top of his list for next year. So continue being nice and not naughty and you just might have one of these green beauties before you know it.
