See both in person, if you still not able making your mind then buy it baguette dial and get separately brown-sub dial. Mind you personally i would say was mesmerised by baguette dial when i saw it alive. You would never go to brown-sub once you see it. At least myself i felt like that.

Both super nice...but I think the brown sub-dials would fit into my collection and lifestyle better.

Great observation Chad! I would love that combination too.

Diamonds for me-i was torn between the 2 when I was buying 18 months ago and have always been happy with my choice. What cannot be conveyed here with pictures alone is the sparkle of the diamonds ‘in the flesh’ and under different lights. The dial upgrade costs nearly £5k Extra here in the U.K. but it’s worth it in my opinion.

I really like the diamond dial, but if I were to get a Daytona, I'd buy the brown dial version. Every time I've tried them on, it's obvious that I need the subdial contrast for improved visibility. Of course, even at that, it's fairly hopeless without my reading glasses these days anyway.

Icon12 I'm waiting Rolex...lol

I know that the brown on the Platona sometimes looks black, but I still am unable to really get "into it..."

So, I hope that every 5 years Rolex can add another color, (theme) to the platona line-up still making the ice blue and brown special, yet allowing for some deviation for those who simply don't prefer Brown...

For your viewing pleasure...

If I had to give an edge to one, it would be the one with the brown sub dials.

With that being said, if I were going for the big dog, I’d light it up with diamonds.

Nice pics Tom!

A few questions since we are on the Platona

Are both dial colors the Same between brown and Ice sub-dials

On most dials the markets are WG. On the Platona are the markers WG or Platinum?

Lastly, I prefer the more solid color with the Bagg’s

Ok who has one I can try out for a week?

MSRP on the 116506 is 75k, but what is MSRP on the diamond dial version?

Brown subdials for me, never could understand diamond markers on a sports watch.
