Wow Incoming: what a guy! ArizonaPaul

Maybe some of you have seen this thread maybe not, but our good buddy Paul had the good fortune of buying a new SS Sky D only two weeks after showing casual interest in the watch. It was a quick turn of events for him but the opportunity present itself so he jumped.

Here’s the thread...
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...00#post8110100

Paul expressed some concern that the watch might not even sing to him but didn’t want to pass up the chance. I reached out to him saying if it’s not for him I might be a buyer.

On a side note: Coincidentally I bought a d-blue almost 2 years ago and after a week realized it wasn’t really the watch for me. Guess who took that watch off my hands after a private message exchange!? ;)

So I speak with Paul on the phone, explain that the watch is actually a watch my dad wants and I’ll be buying it for him (not as a gift unfortunately, just making all the arrangements, etc).

After a lovely conversation, Paul tells me he’s gonna sell my dad the watch for retail. Ships out the watch before the bankwire even clears and within only 24 hours of starting the convo, the watch is here and on my dad’s wrist! (And one time on my wrist too because there’s no way I’m not gonna try it on lol)

Just amazing Paul! Thank you so much. This is the first watch my dad’s bought in 15-20 years. He’s been collecting for 40+ years and this is the first watch in a very long time I’ve seen him get excited for.

I will follow up with some better pics ASAP.

Such a great story and I am so happy to be part of it.. it's great that this type of stuff happens on our fantastic forum.
You all have taught me well, and Chad is one of the most solid guys out here.
Also so cool that I bought my D-Blue from Chad a little over a year ago, and it was a perfect transaction

Happy holidays to all

Paul.
