Icon20 "Z" 116520 Black Dial "Baby Sale" $9500

Hello All! My wife and I are expecting a baby by August 15 so I am having a baby sale. THe price is $9,500.00.

My Daytona is a "Z" series black dial. I bought the watch new last fall and have worn it every few weeks since. It does have light ghost hair scratches that come with wearing a watch.

I have greatly enjoyed this watch, but with a child coming in August I figure I should start putting to the crib together. This sale will help fund my wife's dream nursery (and possibly help me make the argument for a WG/Meteorite Daytona in the future).

I will ship the watch once your funds have cleared. I prefer a US deal. If you are local I welcome you to come check out the watch or meet me at an AD for authentification.

As I mentioned once your funds have cleared I will ship the watch and forward you the tracking number so you can keep an eye on it.

The watch comes with all of the boxing, papers, and I will even throw in a winder if you would like.

I hate to see it go, but being a parent requires some sacrifice. Hey, my dad sold his 1968 Shelby GT500-KR Convertible when I was born...talk about a sacrifice!

Please email with any questions: bran.a@mac.com

I was the person who purchased the Daytona from Bran and did not list it on Ebay. That would appear to be at least someone stealing his pictures.

wow, I can't beleive people do this.

It's exactlly that which makes me not want to buy used on-line.

I know that TRF is a bit more safe!!

But that sure is a lot of money to loose.

I'm glad there's people out their like you that will report these scams.

So...the ebay scam is setup with over 200 positive posts over a period of time to back up the validity of the scam?!

I had no idea that people were going this far! I've got to get to town more often!

This is the For Sale section where no extra discussion is allowed,,

Consider yourselves all banned for an hour....

However, the conversation is interesting (and the watch is sold) so I am moving this to the WatchOut section for discussion...

Yea that's another thing that I've been a little suspicious about. It seems as though most of the people selling these items on-line all have high % positive ratings.

If they all have positive ratings, how do you know how to gage who's lagit and who's not!!!!

what's stoping people from giving themselves their own high ratings.

I did see a news cast where E-Bay Got sued and lost a 200 Million doallar Suit for selling fake louis vatton bags.

You know it's bad when the company is screwing people out of money as well!!!

jtrader,

It's called an ebay account take-over. The bad guy obtains your ebay password from one of those fake, ebay phishing-scam emails. Once they have your ebay password they can list items on ebay thru your ebay account and it will look like the owner of the account is listing the item - to include the account holder's feedback profile.

Usually they get away with some fraud before the original account holder realizes his ebay account has been hijacked.

I am letting the buyer know that it wasnt legit and im letting ebay know as well. I thank whoever from this forum brought it to my attention. I dont know how the guy planned on pulling anything off bcus i was getting the money and not turning it over until item was confirmed recieved.

Hi I am the one who had the watch listed on ebay. I listed it for some one I briefly knew on the internet, what a mistake that was. I thank whoever from this forum it brought it to my attention. Trust me no one is paying anything for the watch I have already sent a message to the buyer that it turned out to be a scam. I dont know how the guy planned to pull it off because i was goona hold any money until it was confirmed the watch was recieved. My ebay rating is good because I am an honest buyer/seller and I simply tried to do someone a favor. Now he is gone and im out $55.00 listing fee. I will never make a mistake like this again.

you can get credit for that listing fee if the deal never materialized, it's still a fishy story though.

I copied nothin he copied it and sent it to me. I knew him for about a year online from playin poker he had sent me money before to play with and stuff so he seemed pretty legit. I didnt see it as much of a risk if somehow it wasnt legit because the money was gonna be sent to me and I wasnt gonna give it up until I had confirmation that the buyer had recieved the item.

Dopey75, how naive can one be? You couldn't write stuff like this, nobody would believe it.

Now you know why the airlines ask you the proverbial check-in question, "did any strangers give you a package to deliver upon your arrival at your destination?"

Yes, I had this happen to me a few years back. It was an awful feeling. They started listing laptops on my site; eventually I got it cleared up.
