Err buddies...as little as Orchi could see from those few pictures...the watch would seem to alright...but that's just the pictures...

The Seller has NOT sold anything related to Rolex or any brand of watches...n he has not sold anything since 1-1/2 year ago...other than buying some odd low ticket items himself...

So the issue here is integrity of the sale...

RED FLAG...proceed with extreme caution...to verify to see if the Seller would accept exchange of payment n watch at an AD's place...not even at the Bank.

Should the watch checks out fine at the AD...$ is exchanged for the watch securely...

Orchi for one would NOT send $ to the Seller of this watch...before having the watch first checked out 100% completely.

...this is one that...

....patrick horsman posted in a thread here on TRF. He IS the winner.

....watch looks okay to me, but, like SteveM, the Daytona's are not "my cup of tea".

Stan.

just be careful patrick-check the sellers references-ask for them if they are not offered.

I thought the watch looked good and the guy has all positive feedback. Of course the feedback is over 90 days old so, that is a caution, but it looked like a nice deal.

After 5 emails to the seller and no response I believe its a hacked ebay account... My plan was to do the AD check then pay and do it all in person... Not going to mess around with this much $$$ at stake...

Oh ok, I see this is the same watch as in the other thread I just posted about. But yeah, it think you're right about the hacked account. It's definitely a "buy the seller" thing on the fleabay. I would go ahead and contact ebay if I was you and let them know that there's been no contact and you want the deal dead and things looked into for suspicious activity on the seller's account. Prepare yourself for a nice automated response and absolutely nothing to be done. At least if it gets hairy you can say you tried though.

Red flag #1, no account activity since March '07. Might be legit, or might be a hijacked account.
