Lovely watch.

I'm thinking about a air King date in the U.K.

Good choice, a little harder to find but very wearable!

Wasn't a fan at first but growing on me, was a difficult leap from my 5500's but the new one is not bad on the wrist.

Just joined the Air King club. Picked this up a local AD while searching for a GMT. I don’t understand the vast dislike for this watch. It’s a fun reasonably priced addition to my small collection. I think it looks great.

I've been an air-king owner for 2 years now, it's about time for some pics.

Picked this one up in Milano and its been my daily wear ever since.

Well done on the restoration....as they say it works

It has a cool patina due to its slight wear.
I remember when that watch was one of the most famous on the internet

Looks great bud! Ergonomically I still prefer the contours of the 5500 on me but that's why this watch has such a wide range and long duration of appeal!

So I ran a check on the time keeping of my Rolex Air-King 14000 from 1991- it’s running at -1 sec per day. Quite remarkable I think.

What Air King is this

Can anybody tell me what Air King this is? I can't seem to find one with this face. The band is with the watch. Could you put a value on it?

This watch is most elegant because of its simplicity. Has the Air King ever come with a black dial?

I will correct my previous question. What I meant was to inquire as to whether or not older Air Kings came with a black dial. I understand the new ones (116900) do come with black dial but most of the older Air Kings appear to come with lighter or blue dials. I have not seen one with a black dial.

They sure did, and very smart they are!

Seriously I didn't like it when it was launch but having seen it in display in AD.. It started to grow on me therefore it became on 5th watch in my collection.
