Friend's Submariner had SEL link come apart, suggestions for repair?
Hello, my friend has a Subdate and the bracelet link which connects to the SEL came apart, from what he showed me the pin that goes through the SEL appears to have broken but the link at the top is seemingly intact.
Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for repair, I get the sense he would not want to send it in for a full service if possible and only get the link repaired. Thanks |

The SEL is connected to the bracelet via a spring bar. When this breaks, it is bad news. Rolex will likely want to replace the whole bracelet. An independent watchmaker can replace the spring bar with a stainless steel pin. He has to drill through the side of link, insert pin and laser weld the hole shut and refinish bracelet link.
Have him call Rik@ Time Care Inc |
