Steinhart Watches
Good Day Gents,
As I was just surfing the net today looking at various watches like Rolex, Tudor, Omega etc... I came across a brand I’ve not heard much about and it’s Steinhart The watch that caught my attention was a Ocean Titanium 500 GMT from what they call their premium line, I know it’s not a Rolex or Tudor and not looking to replace any of the watches I currently have just looking at an inexpensive option to wear when just out and about working around the house and such and not have a lot tied up in it but I’ve only recently heard of this brand so can anyone advise if this would be a good option or should I be looking elsewhere Here is a link with specs https://www.steinhartwatches.de/en/p...t-premium.html

We’ve covered the brand in this section many times, use the search function and see if your question remains unanswered.

Considering it has an ETA 2824-2 Swiss elabore caliber movement, and is well made:
the Swiss-German Steinhart Ocean 39 Explorer is a tough watch-resembling the 5512/5513 gilt dialed Rolex Submariner. Gnomon markets them in 300 watches at a time. They sell quickly as there is something of a cult following now for this newer model reference. Own one and they are well worth the initial investment-as they have been selling more pre-owned than new-as they are not always available. |

Would rather put this tough little 39 Explorer /Submariner watch through its paces in a third world country than put my 1680, 14060 or even 16610 Rolex in harms way in a Bombay alley.
Though in all honesty-I have already taken my red 1680 where most would balk to take an Invicta. But that's where the excitement lurks......and it was a few decades back. |
