Yeah, what about those hands?

I agree with Paulie (and Spark).

Bidding finished - no takers. It's a lot to risk on ebay - I would only feel comfortable buying such a high ticket item from a dealer or, at least, face to face with the seller.

Well back in the early 1980s my Father saved hard to buy himself a Rolex sub.But when he got to the store in Cardiff he was offered £25 off a 6263 Daytona. So the Daytona in the first place cheaper than the Sub. but the extra £25 off clinched the deal. With the money he saved he bought my Mother a washing machine. Glad now he bought the 6263 but I would never sell it, when I am gone well thats up to my sons.

It was just the starting bid price folks! The seller has withdrawn the listing to re-list it. I am sure it will sell for much more.

Slightly off topic, but:

1) Did I see Bratt Pitt sporting a mil sub in a recent US Magazine?

2) Is the mil sub the new "hot item" in the celeb/collector world? The Starbucks guy had one on the cover of Portfolio not long ago.

I know the mil sub has always been hot. I am just wondering if the heat is being turned up a bit more lately.

That's the second time he's pulled it ! Does he know what he's doing? Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the item when the seller seems so hapless.

He has no idea about the watch- he has admitted that- maybe he is going to get some proper advice on what to do with it

Yes - I certainly think a letter from Rolex certifying it will help him achieve a good price.
