So what would she say if you were to ask her what all of those little dials actually do?

She might even post on TRF and ask why the seconds hand doesn't move or what the numbers on the bezel mean.

Nicky is the one that is hardly seen. Remember? Its Paris who is seen all the time. I think she qualifies to wear a Daytona as much as anyone else who wears one. Who cares if she knows what the dials do? Maybe YOU know but does it matter? So you know how to use a very expensive pasta timer?
She is wearing it because it looks cool on her. That's all.
What are you afraid of? I'm confused? Celebrities sell watches all the time in Europe ads etc. More so now in the states.
What about Tiger Woods? Why does HE need a Rolex? Or some tool-box footballer like Wayne Rooney? Oh by the way I watched the Mutt-faced inbred buy a Jacob & Co. Now that's a timepiece commensurate with the individual.

She does know and doesn't care what the sub-dials do, that's not why she's wearing it EITHER.

Kind of silly to expect that we're entitled to appreciate a Daytona as a watch, but "stars" can't or shouldn't be allowed to.

With branding as widely known as McDonald's one had better get used to it. A greater percentage of stars and boorish snobs (remember the PP thread last week?) wear Rolex than anything else in the luxury watch line-up simply based on the output and percentages alone. If you're looking to wear something "special" and off the beaten path, it "ain't" Rolex.

Yep, she walked in (or her personal shopper) and jumped ahead of 20 people on the mythical "Daytona list" and paid MSRP. Either that, or Rolex gave it to her. I'd say that's equally likely.

GMT...if that is indeed your real name.

I would argue that Mr Woods and Mr Rooney at least have a talent. Remind me again what talents these Hiltons have?

You mention celebrity yet again. So far in your posts it would seem that you subscribe to this whole famous for being famous ethos. I really do hope you aren't as vacuous as these girls you idolise.

For now, just chill out. I'm sure you won't be waiting tables for much longer! Your agent will soon be calling with that big break!!!!

See, that's why I hesitate to consider any Rolex with any more doodads on it than a date feature. If I don't need it or know how to use it, I don't feel like I should have it! Pity, because I like the YMs but what would I do with the bezel?

Lisa I totally agree. Duirng those inimate moments with the wife; and while waiting for closure, I only need the date feature. For me, the scond hand will suffice.
