Any Zenith lover?
For all chronograph lovers I think Zenith El Primero is not new to you. The recent revival of the A384, what do you think?

If Rolex Daytona is today what it is - aa well as what people value in its early, more collectable models - that’s the EL Primero movement. And that you can’t take it from Zenith. Because it’s there since the beggining...

It is a watch you have to see in your wirst! Absolutely!!
Zenith made a huge work, re-creating everything as it should be, a perfect replica of the original, except for sapphire glass or transparent caseback. The case is not the most beautiful, but it fits your wrist absolutely perfect. Size is good, 37-38mm but it does not seems as a small watch. You will have the option to buy a separately steel bracelet with original guy Freres design, exactly like the original. And it will not be in production forever, probably only one year to celebrate 50th anniversary. A must for any 70s collector of chronograph, in my opinion!! anyone pick up one of these? seem kind of neat, if they follow the typical 30-40% off grey market pricing i'd definitely be interested.

I wish they made the Defy Chrono in 40mm , I am very close to pulling the trigger but 45mm looks big on my small wrists

Love Zenith TriColor (and related). The A386 with Gay Freres bracelet is grail territory for me. But the 36,000vph and all other tribute pieces are very cool as well.
I am personally not a fan at all of the Pilot or the open-face chronos. I think those lines weigh down the brand. The Defy is hit or miss, but mostly miss. |

I think anyone that values watch history, specifically favors chrono movements has respect for the El Primero movement. Zenith has a place in watchmaking history. Look at what is happening with Zenith movement Daytona's.
As for this particular piece, I'm not a fan but love the classic El Primero. |
