Incoming, SLA033....
I've wanted a 6105 ever since I got an SKX173 back in 2004 and started reading about the history of Seiko divers. I have yet to get a vintage 6105 but this one will do in a pinch. |

Nice Seiko, my one gets a lot of wrist time as well. Seiko really make some good divers.

Anyone got a side by side comparison with a SRP turtle?
I got offered a new SLA033 but already have a SRP Pepsi so not sure if they’d look too close. |

Nah...the 033 is head and shoulders above the srp...and I think the case shape is different enough to feel like different watches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I hope this helps you out a little. In my opinion, they are completely different watches, in both design and fit and finish. Not to take a single thing away from the SRP's, I love them and have several, but the SLA033 is much like a Grand Seiko. You will never confuse the two watches. |

Price difference between 033 and Turtle?
Do owners feel it’s worth it?

still available, I like mine a lot but as some have shown things like the hands are not well finished for a 4k watch. The thing I'm glad is, while the crown is hard to use, it at least catches the thread easily. my sla025 would not and I had to reverse thread it to cleanly catch.

The SLA033 is a great watch and might be one of my favorite Seiko divers. With that said, I think you would need to really be into Seiko and value the watch beyond what you have to pay for it. I could have the discussion that you could have a great Seiko collection for just the retail of this one watch. Is it worth it? Yes, for me but for another, maybe not.
