Just ordered an Ophion 786 Velos - very distant Voutilainen cousin

I was browsing watchesbysjx, one of my favorite watch-related websites, and came across a story about Ophion watches - a very interesting company producing very attractive, relatively inexpensive watches. Link to article here:

https://watchesbysjx.com/2019/09/oph...786-velos.html

Anyway I ended up going to Ophion’s website and pre-ordering a 786 Velos, which is a Voutilainen-like model. Voutilainen actually produces the cases. This is probably the closest I’ll ever come to owning a Voutilainen, so I went for it. My 786 Velos with blue guilloche dial and Breguet-style numbers is scheduled to arrive around January. For €2870 I’m not expecting high horology, but the overall movement and build looks pretty solid for the price. Here’s the website in case anyone is interested:

Well done. Seen that on Purists yesterday.
A bargain for the price.

Considering ordering this one myself, so I'm excited to hear what you think about it when you get it in some months. Had my eyes on the brand ever since they introduced the OPH 786.

I’ll be sure to report back here when it arrives. Here’s the version I ordered:

Cheers. My eyes are on the salmon dial, maybe the white one. But the blue one is definitely cool as well!

All three guilloche dial colors are gorgeous. Blue happens to be my default because it’s not only eye pleasing, it also goes with a lot of my wardrobe. The silver guilloche with blue hands and numbers would be my second choice.

It finally arrived today. I originally ordered the blue dial, but soon after I decided I had too many blue dials already. So I changed to the silver/white dial. I also got the brown strap to change up the look. It’s actually more than I expected, especially for the price. I’m very happy with this one!

Amazing value. I actually would not have guessed this was at the price point it is, would have put it way north. Beautiful dial, lugs and finish. You scored well. Please keep sharing pics periodically!

At some angles it looks white and at others it looks silver. Here’s a photo in the evening sunlight.

Looks amazing, huge congrats! The real life photos look so much better than the stock photos and the watch looked great in the stock photos. I may have to look into one of these.

^ Seems KV owns part of the company that produces cases for Ophion.

The same company produces cases for KV’s watches.
