Great experience with Panerai service
Thought I would share a very positive experience with Panerai service.
I have a PAM682 (Submersible) that’s just a little over 2 years old. So about 4 months out of warranty. One day while I was winding the watch and the crown broke. Meaning, I would turn it and nothing would happen. I couldn’t set the date or time. I take it to the Panerai boutique in Toronto and they said they’ll send it to the Richemont service centre just outside of Toronto. I asked if they can fix it under warranty as I’m only 4 months out of warranty. They said they’ll see what they can do. I expected to be out of the watch for a month. No big deal as I have other watches. One week later, I get a text from the Panerai boutique saying that my watch is ready for pickup and it was fixed for free under warranty. When I took possession of the watch, it was perfect. I’ve read horror stories of watches coming back scratched, damaged, misaligned, etc. There was no damage or markings at all. They even cleaned the watch and strap and gave it new seals. I’m very happy with how the boutique treated me and very happy with the perfect servicing of the watch. As a Panerai owner, I thought I would share the great experience I had. And now for the obligatory wrist shot... |

Great to hear. Love how Panerai is stepping up across their entire company.

Glad to read this as we most often only hear the bad stories. There are FAR more good experiences.

Wonderful ending and Panerai service is excellent. It brings confidence in their products and why many of us keep buying more.

Better service that Rolex. My 388 was serviced and returned back on like new condition in two weeks.
Rolex service has really gone down

The watch looks great.
I think when it comes to watch servicing and the internet, people tend to post the bad news more than the good. Thanks for sharing something positive. One week + extending the warranty is great (I can’t remember when Panerai extended warranties, but maybe they grandfathered you in?). |

Panerai customer service is comparable to Rolls-Royce

I had a great experience when I took my 233 in for service as it stopped working. A year later and a few weeks after the years service warranty finished the watch stopped again. They gave me a loaner watch while they fixed the issue. It had been magnetized which is why it stopped. Am a bit anxious wearing the watch near any computers/fridges/phones/speakers now as it seems very easy to get magnetized.
What was the issue with your watch? |

Sorry to kinda 'parachute' in on this thread, yet starting a new one seemed....
Sent the PAM01033 into service recently. She came back in only a few weeks (bravo!). When she first arrived here was a bit nervous as the movement was running fast initially, yet after about 24 hours she is now keeping PERFECT time (+/-0 seconds per day). HUGE thumbs up to everyone at Panerai service.
