Rolex Datejust 16233 36mm

Is the 16233 a good choice for a DJ? My other watches are 40-44mm. I want a TT with a jubilee bracelet.

I am tending to lean towards the black face with a stick dial.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

A ref. 16233 gets you a DJ 36mm as an option with many other dial and marker configurations.

Sure, many variations to choose from and an iconic style.

So what is the difference between a 116234 and a 16233 other than being a little bit newer?

Agree.
Having owned the 36mm and then evolved to 40mm, 43mm and 44mm watches, I personally find it very hard to go back to a 36mm.

End of 2016 I bought my Bluesy and recently the 36mm 116200.
No problems with the size IMHO

That's great.
Matter of personal preference.

I too went to a Bluesey from a 36mm, then added a 43mm Navitimer, then just recently added a 44 Chronomat. In my case I keep going up, although frankly my wrist cannot support any larger than a 44 for my taste/liking.
I don't want to say I would never wear a 36mm again but I can come very close to it.
It's now my wife's preferred size. Feels way too small on me now in spite of having worn that size for over 25 years.
